In the Qechua language, in the Andes, the word minca refers to a particular camaraderie between farmers. While producers will hire help for the harvest, during the year they depend on their neighbors. Groups will travel from farm to farm, accomplishing what needs to be done before moving on to the next farm. This idea of caring for the whole, this social bond, is minca. We borrowed this lovely term for our newest community lot, from 49 producers in Junin.

Super good, med. rst. coffee.

We did a sample of this coffee and loved it as as medium roast. Tried a dark roast as well but it left us wanting the medium again. Well balanced coffee, clear but not a bright acidity. Got even better as it cooled down just a bit in the cup. slight sweetness of caramel with a clean hint of chocolate.

Chocolate and caramel candy!

Loved this one. I also roasted it darker which brought out the chocolate more. The heavy body complemented the caramel flavor. It reminded me of a rich candy bar

A Peruvian delight!

I had a wonderful time letting my friends and family sample this extremely smooth, rich coffee at a couple of different roast profiles. As I tend to select coffees that do very well roasted to a nice city roast. (My version of "medium"). This was a perfect coffee to offer my long time French Roast customers whose go to coffee is darker roasts but insisted they try a lighter roast. They enjoyed both profiles and are coming around to the "lighter side". In fact more than a few of them wanted to take home both roasts.
<br>This is one heck of a Peruvian coffee, aroma while brewing in a vac pot was extraordinary. Ordered a 2nd box of it after many customers requested it. Most common remarks noted were the exceptional smoothness yet rich quintessential flavor sought after by true coffee lovers. I normally prefer to purchase different varieties, to always maintain a diverse selection, rarely doing a repeat purchase of a particular coffee, not so in this case...

Chocolate bomb

Chocolate bomb! Super rich and balanced as an espresso. Did a light-med roast and it’s a solid drip, and french press. I’m going to do my first espresso blend with this as my base coffee.
