This coffee comes from the Windrush Coffee Estate, a 187 hectare estate, in the Kiambu, the Central Highlands, region of Kenya. The coffee was milled at Gatatha Farmers Co. Ltd, which is run by approximately 300 Kenyan shareholders, who in the 1970s purchased the farm from a British settler. Timely and selective hand picking of cherries helped to craft this coffee. The cherries were delivered to the wet mill the same day they were picked. Red ripe cherries were separated from under ripe cherries, over ripe cherries and foreign matter prior to pulping. Sun drying on raised tables was done before delivery of the coffee to the dry mill for secondary processing.

Solid approachable Kenya

Big body, smooth finish and nice tropical hints. Coffee works well for any brew application.
