Don Miguel Jerónimo Domingo used to work on two of the largest coffee plantations in the Huehuetenango region. He not only learned a wealth of first-hand coffee production information, but was also was able to attend many workshops given by Anacafe, furthering his coffee education. After 12 years of working on those farms, he had an unfortunate accident which prevented him from doing the intensive physical labor coffee farms demand. His son, who at that time was working in the U.S., came back and together they bought their farm, El Rodeo, in 1992. Most of the coffee on their 6.99 hectares of land grows at 1500 meters ASL. Over the last couple of decades, this father and son duo has been able to expand their land, increase their production, and up the quality of their coffee.
