About Finca Buenos Aires
Ricardo Kriete is 4th generation of coffee producers who fell in love with coffee in childhood. Ricardo grew up on Finca El Rosario, the farm his family owned since 1952. As a child, Ricardo dreamed of one day owning El Rosario and becoming a producer of high-quality coffee. Seven years ago that dream became a reality.

Given the strong results achieved in El Rosario, Ricardo decided to expand. His focus was on finding the farms with the potential to produce outstanding coffees at the best possible heights. In 2014 he bought the Finca Buenos Aires, a 200 ha farm located on Ilamatepec, the volcano of Santa Ana. It has an altitude of 1,200 to 1,350 meters above sea level and a rainfall of 1,900 to 2,200 mm per year. The varieties of coffee found on this farm are Red Bourbon, Orange Bourbon and Pacamara. Finca Buenos Aires mills its own coffee, specializing in natural, washed and honey process, and the drying on African beds with varying amounts of sun and shade.

Thirsty for growth, in 2017 Ricardo purchased Finca Santo Tomas a 122 ha farm neighboring Finca Buenos Aires and Finca Mencia, a 14.5 ha farm in the same region. Through the new acquisitions Buenos Aires expanded its varietals to include more Red Bourbon, Orange Bourbon and Maragogipe and resulted in a 337 ha farm network in the golden belt of Salvadoran coffee farming.
