Uganda, at the heart of East Africa, straddles the equator and is the source of the Nile. It benefits from a bi-modal rainfall season, high altitudes and a pleasant, year-round climate. Nearly all of the country's coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who intercrop their coffee fields with shade trees and bananas. We started our sustainability work in Uganda in 2007, and our Farmer Support teams are known for their innovations and continuous guidance toward improvements. We’re proud to be working with more than 10,000 Arabica farmers and with them creating some of the best specialty coffee Uganda has ever produced.
