Bali Green Coffee Beans

Bali may be best known for its beaches, but it’s also becoming a standout origin for specialty coffee. Bali arrived late to the party; coffee cultivation was introduced to the island in the early 20th century. While early exports were mostly destined for Japan, Bali green coffee is now gaining a strong following in the U.S. and international markets.

The island’s rich volcanic soil, high elevations, and consistent rainfall create an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. The Kintamani Highlands, in particular, have emerged as Bali’s primary coffee-growing region, with elevations ranging from 1,200–1,700 masl and a terroir that produces sweet, clean, and citrus-forward profiles.

Unlike many other Indonesian coffees, Bali offers fully washed coffees that are cleaner compared to the heavier, wet-hulled coffees found in Sumatra or Sulawesi.
