Ethiopia is widely regarded as the birthplace of coffee. To this day, Ethiopian green coffee beans are some of the most widely sought-after coffees. Ethiopia coffees are mainly dry (natural) processed or fully washed. These processes can yield “fruit bomb” flavors or delicately sweet and floral notes respectively.
Coffee still grows wild in the hills and forests of Ethiopia where smallholder farmers pick and produce coffee.
