About the Coffee
Claudia Muñoz is an expert at producing high-quality microlots, traditionally processed with the washed method on her six-hectare farm in El Bombo in the Huila Department. This Caturra and Colombia blend was developed with a prolonged fermentation to bring out its highly nuanced profile. The coffee was sourced in partnership with Lohas Beans.

About ASOBOMBO
Claudia is an ASOBOMBO cooperative member, one of 170 producers in Huila who are bent on bringing generational change to Colombia’s coffee community. ASOBOMBO is made up of young producers, and nearly half of them are forward-thinking women like Claudia. They share a joint commitment to sustainable agriculture as they collectively work towards increasing the market value of their coffee.



About the Region
El Bombo is situated in the municipality of Pitalito, a notable coffee-growing area of Huila that has claimed several Colombia Cup of Excellence awards over the years. Temperatures range from 16-20ºC and the terrain, with its gently rolling hills, is friendlier to farming efforts compared to the steep slopes commonly found across the country. Coffee production here is very much a family-oriented venture, and producers like Claudia and other ASOBOMBO members take pride in the excellent quality of their coffee.
